Privacy law reform, state surveillance and the appointment of a new federal privacy commissioner all promise to be big issues. “It is an exciting time for privacy in Canada,” Chan writes, noting that media reports indicate a forthcoming Speech from the Throne will focus on a “consumer first” agenda.
