As a "culmination of a lengthy consultation process," the Personal Data (Privacy) Amendment Bill will enact new requirements relating to direct marketing and the sale of personal information and data processing; address the powers of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, and increase penalties for breaches of the ordinance.
