The inter-agency committee on Internet privacy, established last month by the White House, has released a charter statement saying it will come up with a whitepaper and policy and legislative guidelines during its two-year term, reports The Washington Post. According to the report, the group has three main tasks--to produce a whitepaper from government agencies' policy work, come up with "general principles" for an Internet privacy framework and vet all government statements on privacy.
