Christoph Luykx joined Intel in March 2008 and is the corporation’s policy manager for Europe responsible for privacy, security and trade as part of Intel's Legal and Corporate Affairs Group. In this capacity, Luykx works closely with different business groups within Intel, providing advice and support on key issues to Intel’s growth and representing the company in various external activities.

Prior to his work for Intel, Luykx spent three years as a U.S. Department of State economic specialist at the United States Mission to the European Union in Brussels, Belgium. Prior to 2005, he was a staff member at a Belgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry responsible for international trade affairs. Luykx is currently also the chair of DIGITALEUROPE’s privacy and security working group, active in various associations and co-chair of the Brussels IAPP KnowledgeNets.

Luykx was born in Hasselt, Belgium, in 1978. He received his law degree from the University of Leuven in 2002 and was an affiliated researcher at Leuven’s Interdisciplinary Centre for Law and ICT (ICRI). He works from Intel's office in Brussels, Belgium.
