Nicola McKilligan is the vice-president of privacy for Thomson Reuters.  She started her privacy career in the late 1990s working as a strategic policy and international officer for the UK Regulator, liaising with the Article 29 Group and the Europol JSB. In 2000 she started her own consultancy, Privacy Partnership, which provided privacy services to multi-nationals and governments worldwide. McKilligan has represented the UK at the ISO on data privacy and co-authored the British Standard for Personal Information Management. With Thomson Reuters, she has been working with the World Economic Forum on the LSE project ‘Norms and Values in Digital Media’.
