The Association of Data Protection Officers

The Association of Data Protection Officers (ADPO) is a membership organization for those who are actively working as data protection officers in their respective organizations. The association offers DPOs an opportunity to share ideas, voice concerns, seek clarity on new legislation and offer their own insights on the demands and challenges of the job.





French Association of Data Protection Correspondents

AFCDP is the French Association of Data Protection Correspondents and was created in 2004, following passage of the French Data Protection Act of 6 August 2004, which created the position of Data Protection Correspondent (CIL) for public and private sector organizations.




  Associación Profesional Española de Privacidad (APEP)

The Spanish Association of Privacy Professionals (APEP) is focused on promoting social awareness and appreciation of the fundamental right to protection of personal data by hosting forums and certifying skills as well as through efforts in quality standards, professional development and codes of ethics for privacy professionals in Spain.




German Association for Data Protection and Data Security

The German Association for Data Protection and Data Security (GDD) was founded in 1976 and stands as a non-profit organization for practicable and effective data protection. The GDD helps data controllers and data protection officers solve the many different legal, technical and organizational problems involved in the processing of personal data. Supported by more than 1,900 companies, public authorities and individual members, the GDD is Germany’s leading association of its kind. The GDD interacts with government officials, data protection authorities, associations and privacy experts on a national and an international basis.




Health Care Compliance Association

The Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) is a non-profit professional membership organization made up of compliance and ethics professionals working in the health care industry. Formed in 1996, HCCA is dedicated to improving the quality of compliance in health care.



The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, Inc.

The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, Inc., ((ISC)²®), is the global, not-for-profit leader in educating and certifying information security professionals through the Certified Information Systems Security (CISSP) and related concentrations. (ISC)² provides vendor-neutral education products, career services and credentials to nearly 60,000 professionals in more than 135 countries.



Nederlands Genootschap van Functionarissen voor de
gegevensbescherming (NGFG)

Het Nederlands Genootschap van Functionarissen voor de gegevensbescherming (NGFG) is the Dutch association of Data Protection Officers, a position specified in article 62 of the Dutch Personal Data Protection Act, the Wet bescherming persoonsgegevens (WBP). NGFG strives to improve the level of data protection provided to Dutch citizens by improving the quality and integrity of the professional conduct of our members through professional data protection training and forums for our members to exchange best practices and experiences.



Pribatua (Asociación Vasca de Privacidad y Seguridad de la Información)

Pribatua, the Basque Association of Privacy and Information Security, aims to promote, disseminate and train professionals and organizations, both public and private, in the legislation, regulations, standards, methodologies and best practices for information security and privacy. Additionally, Pribatua works to educate the general public about their rights to protection of personal data and the appropriate use of information technologies to safeguard their privacy.



UK Data Protection Forum

The Data Protection Forum is an association of some 250 members from more than 120 public- and private-sector companies and organizations. The Forum was formed to provide a focus for the exchange, analysis and communication of information on all matters relating to the protection of personal information and compliance with Data Protection and Freedom of Information Law. It encourages cooperation between organizations in all sectors, and aims to complement the efforts of existing sector-specific associations to provide a strong unified voice for professionals in this dynamic environment.



Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics

The Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics (SCCE) is dedicated to improving the quality of corporate governance, compliance and ethics. SCCE’s roles and activities include: facilitating the development and maintenance of compliance programs; providing a forum for understanding the complicated compliance environment; and offering tools, resources and educational opportunities for those involved with compliance.



Korea CPO Forum

The Korea Chief Privacy Officers (CPO) Forum is comprised of professionals from enterprise and academic circles and related organizations based throughout Korea. The forum is dedicated to sharing information and technology related to private information protection. It also helps consolidate and deliver civic opinions for the privacy policy making process in Korea as well as in coordination with overseas organizations in the field of privacy.



Data Security Council of India

The Data Security Council of India (DSCI) is a self-regulatory organization created to establish, popularize, monitor and enforce privacy and data protection standards for service providers in India’s information technology and business process outsourcing (BPO) industries. DSCI was formed by the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), a global trade body with more than 1,200 members, which include both Indian and multinational companies that have a presence in India.
