About the IAPP

Alejandro joined GSK/Haleon in 2014, he is currently the EMEA, LATAM and Supply Chain Privacy Governance Lead. He has been previously supporting on multiple leadership roles such as Country Privacy Advisor, Digital Privacy Lead, Regional Compliance Head and Finance Controller. Alejandro has been a key stakeholder and one of the main designers of Haleon’s Privacy Framework and Governance process, including the implementation of multiple Privacy Enhancing Technologies and the deployment of the Privacy Framework and Governance process across the world.

Alejandro is Co-Chairman of the Madrid KnowledgeNet Chapter of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Alejandro has more than 15 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry and Healthcare, leverages a deep understanding of technology and specializes in Privacy by Design, Privacy Operations, Privacy Governance and Compliance. He is also currently contributing to the design of the AI Governance process for Haleon.

His previous professional experience includes working for more than 8 years as a Consulting Manager in Processes and Systems Transformation in Accenture.

His academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores of Monterrey (ITESM), a Master’s in Business Administration from the Polytechnical University of Madrid (UPM), a Master’s in Executive Development in Management from the Instituto de Empresa of Madrid (IE), and a certification in Accounting and Finance from IESE (Madrid).

Additionally, Alejandro has also obtained LPEC, CIPM and CIPP/E certifications. He is also certified in various modules of OneTrust’s Privacy Solution.
