Yvonne Njeri Muturi, CIPM
As Data Protection Officer for Citi, East Africa, Yvonne is responsible for ensuring that Citi's privacy risks are adequately identified, assessed, and monitored. Yvonne advises on establishing country strategies and policy management frameworks that maintain risk levels within Citi’s global risk appetite and facilitates compliance with governing laws pertaining to personal data privacy and banking confidentiality. Yvonne has over 23 years of experience, most recently as the Citi Kenya Chief Country Compliance Officer and Head of Compliance for Citi East Africa. Her career spans across roles in Kenya and the United States.

Yvonne holds a B.A. in International Development and Women’s Studies from Clark University, Massachusetts and is a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM)®.
