BlackBerry has purchased “a minority stake in U.S.-based technology company NantHealth,” The Canadian Press reports. The partnership will see the two companies working on products including a new BlackBerry device designed for the medical industry that will link to NantHealth’s cloud networks, the report states. NantHealth says all the infrastructure will be “government-level privacy certified and allow healthcare professionals to share information securely.” NantHealth’s Patrick Soon-Shiong said, "The future of the healthcare industry requires the ability to share information securely and quickly, whether device-to-device or doctor-to-doctor anywhere and at any time.”
