The Wall Street Journal reports on Google’s $7 million settlement in “a multistate investigation into the Internet search leader's collection of e-mails, passwords and other sensitive information sent over wireless networks several years ago in neighborhoods scattered around the world.” Stemming from incidents involving Google’s Street View vehicles, the resolution closes an investigation conducted by about 30 state attorneys general. Google has maintained it did not break U.S. law, issuing a statement Friday that noted, “We work hard to get privacy right at Google.
