During remarks at an event in Mexico City last fall, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's (OECD) director of science, technology and industry, Andrew Wyckoff, said the matter of data privacy needs to be elevated within governments. The OECD event, "Current Developments in Privacy Frameworks: Towards Global Interoperability," was held in conjunction with the 33rd International Conference of Data Protection and Privacy Commissioners.
