ZDNet reports that an Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) spokesperson said the office will allot for the dividend through staff attrition and eliminating possible redundancies, but Pilgrim says the OAIC's workload is increasing and unpredictable, and a staff reduction could affect the office's abilities to meet the needs of the community. "In terms of what we call our own motion investigations...it's hard to anticipate what the level will be at any particular time," said Pilgrim.
