The Irish Data Protection Commissioner (DPC) is investigating complaints against Facebook for its data collection practices. Fox News reports on one allegation that the site encourages members to offer information on nonmembers and uses it to create "extensive profiles." The Wall Street Journal reports that another complaint claims Facebook held information on an Austrian student which appeared to have been deleted from his account.
