Amidst the push-and-pull between calls for a right to be forgotten online and concerns that online anonymity may contribute to "a lack of ethics," John Gapper writes in the Financial Times that the time has come to limit just how much invisibility Web users have. "Anonymity should not be banned in every corner of the Internet any more than it is in the physical world in democracies--it would breach civil liberties," he writes.
