A recent study by security firm Norton found that more than half of respondents would delete all of the personal information they've posted online. The study asked 1,004 adults about the amount of personal information they have shared online and how it could affect them. The Daily Mail reports that many believe there is information available that could potentially be damaging to them, yet 40 percent admit they don't actively protect their online reputation. Sherly Seitz of Norton warns that when embracing new technologies, "consumers should stay mindful of the dangers, both personal and professional, of sharing too much and too openly online."
