The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) confirmed yesterday that it is investigating Google's collection of personal data from unencrypted WiFi networks, The Washington Post reports. "The Enforcement Bureau is looking into whether these actions violate the Communications Act," said FCC Enforcement Bureau chief Michele Ellison. The Federal Trade Commission recently closed its own investigation into the matter, concluding that the company's promise to amend its practices and delete the information collected was sufficient.
