HTML 5 is already being used to create new ways of experiencing online content and is raising privacy concerns as it is expected to provide improved opportunities for tracking consumers' online activities. The New York Times "Tech Talk" podcast features a discussion of the implications of the new technology, including the ability to collect personal data. The report notes that such information as browsing histories, blog text, photos and messages can be collected and stored, and deleting HTML 5 storage "can be tricky."
