Aiming to encourage improved health behaviors, health insurer NIB now offers discounts on genetic testing to 5,000 of its customers. But some are concerned about language in a company letter to customers that NIB "may be required to disclose genetic test results...to life insurance or superannuation providers." The Sydney Morning Herald reports on concerns that disclosure could result in higher risk-based life insurance premiums and the potential for voided life insurance contracts.
