A Regina Police Service member is accused of conducting improper surveillance, but Saskatchewan's Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner cannot investigate the allegations, The Regina Leader-Post reports. “We have no jurisdiction over the police when it comes to access and privacy. Full stop," said Interim Privacy Commissioner Diane Aldridge. The report notes that while the province’s Local Authority Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act “applies to municipal bodies, municipal police forces in the province are outside of its jurisdiction.”
