Sirote & Permutt has announced the formation of a new practice group dedicated to serving clients on privacy and data security matters. Named co-chairs of the new privacy and data security practice group are Joe Ritch and Todd Carlisle.

“Businesses, nonprofits and government agencies of all sizes are trying to sort through the maze of international, national, state and local laws and regulations governing privacy and data security,” Ritch said, adding the group’s goal is to deliver clients “practical solutions…helping them comply and at the same time manage their risks.”

The new practice group includes attorneys from the firm’s intellectual property, corporate and securities, technology and litigation practice groups.
