Following the release of a celebrity's 911 call, a California legislator has announced plans to introduce a bill to prevent such calls from being made public, the Los Angeles Times reports. In a statement, Assemblywoman Norma Torres (D-Pomona), a former 911 operator, said, "Everyone has the right to privacy. The unauthorized release of medical records is already illegal; medical emergency calls should also be protected."
