But one of the key concerns in moving to electronic health records is the privacy and security of the data, especially data pertaining to those who suffer from mental health problems who fear sensitive information could be made available to unauthorised individuals, including employers. We've been willing to accept privacy risks when it comes to online banking, shopping and other services, though, Ahmed writes, adding that the move to electronic records will be a "transformative event" and "will make us healthier."
