The House Energy and Commerce's Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade convened this morning for the hearing "Understanding Consumer Attitudes About Privacy." Subcommittee Chair Mary Bono Mack (R-CA) opened the hearing, the purpose of which was "to examine consumers' attitudes toward privacy as reflected by their utilization and manipulation of existing privacy controls," according to a House memorandum.
