The Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Bureau will keep an eye on the office's expenditure, financial and operational reports, and will hold regular process reviews. The supervision follows the Legislative Council's audit, which found that the office has been wasteful and imprudent, according to The Standard. The commissioner's office will work towards fixing areas identified in the audit as in need of improvement.
