H. Leigh Feldman is currently the chief privacy officer at American Express. Previously, he was the senior privacy executive at Bank of America where he managed the privacy, information and data compliance team, which included enterprise privacy as well as compliance coverage for information security, cross-border data movement, electronic communications and social media. Prior to joining Bank of America, Feldman was chief privacy counsel at Merrill Lynch, where he led the technology, privacy and information law team.   

Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Feldman worked at a mid-sized New York law firm specializing in Internet, e-commerce and corporate law, and prior to that he worked at the New York office of Kaye Scholer LLP specializing in corporate, securities and finance law. He received his law degree from Georgetown University and his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
