Christopher S. Lee is the Department of Homeland Security, Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) privacy officer. In that role, Lee works with S&T staff and contractors to ensure individual privacy protections are upheld on projects addressing cybersecurity, DNA, fingerprint, iris recognition systems, facial recognition systems, standoff detection systems and unmanned aircraft systems. Lee also has 10 years of experience working at the U.S. Senate. At the Senate, Lee advised on a number of privacy bills, including the Communications Decency Act, the CAN SPAM Act, COPPA and the Telemarketing Do Not Call Registry.

Lee holds a JD from the Catholic University of America, and an MS and BS from the University of Maryland.
