Katherine Armstrong has been with the Federal Trade Commission for over 25 years. She spent 15 years as an attorney advisor, first to Chairman Janet Steiger and then, to Commissioner Sheila Anthony. In both roles, she advised the chairman/commissioner on the legal and policy issues associated with a wide range of consumer protection matters. Ms Armstrong is currently a staff attorney in the Division of Privacy and Identity Protection where her work focuses on Fair Credit Reporting Act and data broker issues.
