Michael Dolan

Senior Counsel, IT, Information Security & Privacy

Michael Dolan has spoken at a number of national and regional forums on financial institutions' programs addressing compliance risk management, information security, operational risk management, privacy, social media, and vendor risk management. He currently serves as GE Capital, Americas' privacy subject matter expert, Data Breach Incident Response Leader, and IT organization’s lead counsel.

Mr. Dolan's prior professional experience includes executive-management roles with US Bancorp and in private practice with Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly LLP. A published author, Minnesota Law & Politics "Rising Star", and recipient of a national "Innovation Award" for his approach to information-security challenges, Mike has also served as Adjunct Professor of Law with the University of Minnesota Law School and as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Bruce D. Willis of the Minnesota Court of Appeals.

Mr. Dolan received his MBA, with a finance concentration, from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management and JD, cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School. Mike received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science as a triple major from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He resides in Minneapolis with his wife, son, and yellow lab Bailey Badger.
