Bill Stewart has been in the medical device business for over 25 years and currently manages the privacy and product security initiatives in Philips Healthcare's North and South American sales and service organizations.  

He received an electrical engineering degree from the University of Washington in 1981 and went to work for GE Medical Systems in Germany for three years before returning to school in 1984 for a Master of International Business degree.  Upon graduation, he returned to GE, this time in Tokyo as an MR product manager for GE Medical Systems - Asia. 

He returned with his family to the US in 1998 and joined Siemens Healthcare ultrasound division as the "connectivity solutions" product manager and joined Philips Healthcare in 2005 as Product Security Officer and (since 2008) also Privacy Officer.
