Craig D. Spiezle is an advocate for consumer trust and a thought leader on the convergence of privacy and security. Spiezle leads OTA in advocating best practices and public policy that mitigate emerging privacy, identity and security threats to online services, government, organizations and consumers.
Prior to his role OTA, Spiezle spent over a decade at Microsoft, most recently as the director of security and privacy product management for Internet Explorer, driving the development of anti-spam, anti-phishing and privacy enabling technologies. Previously, he held various managerial positions, including international marketing, licensing and leading Microsoft’s first effort to bridge the digital divide.
Spiezle holds a BS from the Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA from Seattle University.
