Sharon is a lawyer and privacy professional with solid experience crafting privacy policies that integrate smoothly with information technology. Formerly an Assistant General Counsel with the FBI, Geddes worked in the Privacy and Civil Liberties unit spearheading various aspects of the privacy program and crafting policies, procedures and training. A self-proclaimed “geek first, lawyer second,” she earned a JD and Master of Law (LLM) in Information Technology and Privacy Law from the John Marshall School of Law.  Recently, she joined after taking several years off to raise her infant daughter while teaching IT and privacy law at John Marshall.
