Jay Loder, CIPP/C

Jay Loder has worked on privacy and access to information matters for close to 10 years with the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia. In these areas, he has worked on a wide variety of regulatory matters involving entities in the public and private sectors in relation to privacy complaints and access to information requests and appeals. Loder has also led investigations in compliance matters, developed policies and service provider arrangements, performed audits, reviews, and privacy impact assessments, and led negotiations and responses to privacy breaches and the impact of privacy on litigation.

An active member of several professional organizations, Loder was a founding member of the British Columbia Privacy Professionals Network and is the current co-chair. He is an active member of the IAPP’s Canadian Advisory Board and recently was selected to a lead a group of privacy professionals who were tasked with reviewing and updating the IAPP’s Canadian and international certification programs.

A CIPP/C, Loder received his education from Simon Fraser University.
