Constantine Karbaliotis became Americas privacy leader at Mercer in 2010, and acts as its chief privacy officer for the Americas, assisting Mercer in complying with applicable privacy legislation and standards in the Americas. Reporting to Mercer's chief compliance officer - Americas, Karbaliotis manages the company's internal compliance and the development and implementation of privacy programs, policies and initiatives within Mercer. Karbaliotis previously acted as information privacy lead for Symantec, responsible for its global privacy compliance program; and prior to that, he was an executive consultant at CGI in privacy and other technology areas. Karbaliotis received his law degree from Queen's University in 1984, was called to the Bar of the Province of Ontario as barrister and solicitor in 1986 and was in private practice for 10 years.
