Sarika Davis, CIPP/US

Director, Data Protection & Privacy

As PwC’s retail and consumer sector lead for its National Data Protection & Privacy Practice, Sarika Davis helps global companies assess and implement their data protection and privacy programs. In this role, Davis works closely with companies to collaborate on strategies to create and improve their programs. She also helps companies design and implement processes to continuously monitor and improve their existing programs. While her focus is primarily within the retail sector, Davis has worked with many companies across various industries, to provide attestations for regulatory agencies such as the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Health and Human Services Office of Civil Rights (HHS-OCR).

Davis has nearly 13 years of auditing and consulting experience helping clients manage their risk and systems of internal control, specializing in information technologies, enterprise application and business process controls, IT governance, security and regulatory compliance (i.e. Sarbanes Oxley, SAS 70/SSAE16). She has served companies ranging from large multinationals to U.S.–based clients across industries. As a result, she is well-versed in the significant role that risk and internal control play in the financial and operational effectiveness of companies.

Davis earned a master’s of accountancy, with a specialization in systems, from the University of Florida. In 2008, she completed a five month tour in Berlin, Germany, with Genesis Park, PwC’s highly selective global leadership development program for high performing staff. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed in the state of Georgia.
