Keeping up with privacy challenges in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand
Attendees convened in Sydney for the 12th annual IAPP ANZ Summit. Privacy professionals from Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand discussed pressing topics like cybersecurity incidents, privacy risks to children and biometrics. The EU AI Act as well as AI gevernance and regulation loomed over the event as privacy pros reckoned with this emerging technology and the potential legislation to follow.
This year’s agenda included the following sessions: “Critical Thinkers, Missing Voices,” “Australia's Changing Privacy Landscape: The Customer, Client & the Multinational,” “Global Regulatory Roundtable,” and “Critical Insights on the EU AI Act for Data Protection Professionals.” Presentations are available if you missed a session or were not able to attend the ANZ Summit 2023.
